I canhelp you make it very special indeed! After all, your wedding, party or corpoorate event is unique, and I’m very happy to spend time with you in planning it just as you would wish.Choosing the perfect music for your Special Coporate Event Some times it’s not a band or disco that you require and a CD just does not seem to fit the bill either. However, the piano played live is the ONLY instrument complete in itself when played solo. Why is that? It can play many sounds simultaneously. This makes it extremely versatile and rarely disappoints and the presence of a live pianist adds a real sense of occasion. Not only does it entertain and encourage your clients and guests to chat and mingle, it is a focal point for some who like to engage with the live musician, bridging that gap between performer and audience. The live occasion is made accessible to all and a real asset for your more intimate, corporate event.A Memorable Party. Why not add a real touch of elegance and sophistication with a live piano performance in your own home? It could be a special birthday, anniversary or garden party made even more memorable and long lasting for your friends and family. So, whether at home or away, in a large or small venue, the piano adapts beautifully to all shapes and sizes. It is, indeed I am available to provide that live sense of occasion whether it be music with the sound of piano or organ. Modern technology and flexible locations allow a fusion of the old and the new. Choosing your perfect piece of music Did you know one of the most favourite pieces today to accompany that trip down the aisle and back again is Pachelbel’s Canon? However, the full version is too long so I’ve created a flexible rendition to suite all occasions, no matter how long or short that walk may be. You may prefer the more traditional Mendelssohn or Wagner or, as one couple recently, their walk down the aisle to a recording of Led Zeppelin followed by a recessional Pachelbel’s Canon on piano. Creating the perfect atmosphere after the wedding ceremony Following your ceremony, you can have piano music of your choice for that champagne reception, continuing that warm glow of the momentous event you have just concluded. Effortlesly you will be taken into dinner with piano music that will maintain that ambience, unobtrusively wrapping around the bustle of table conversation. And during photographs, that pleasant warm background of live performance.
If you are planning a traditional church wedding you would use the resident organist but what better than to welcome your guests at the champagne reception, with the cool, soothing sounds of live piano music? Throughout the rest of the day - during the organising of the photo shoot, the time spent with your guests before the wedding lunch and of course, during lunch itself - you could have exactly the style and type of live piano music of your choice, to accompany each phase of your special day.I am available to provide that live sense of occasion whether it be music with the sound of piano or organ. Modern technology and flexible locations allow a fusion of the old and the new. You and your partner can select music for the procession, the signing of the register and the recessional march. Even a hymn or two can be accomodated should you wish. Bob, thank you for a wonderful evening. Your playing of the sonata was very moving - we were entranced. We also thought you did a great job of accompanying the soloists, adjusting brilliantly to support a couple where they might have struggled. It was a pleasure listening to you and we are looking forward to your next appearance.” Stephanie & PeterMy play list embraces a variety of styles and is organised for your ease of selection. It allows you to create a bespoke programme that perfectly fulfils your needs, whether it is for your special wedding day, anniversary, birthday party or corporate dinner. Whatever date, time or circumstance, I’m your Pianist for All Occasions. I am a classically trained pianist, and have taught, lectured and tutored countless numbers of musicians over many years. In addition to directing classical opera, oratorio and orchestras, I’m equally at home when composing and directing stage musicals, rock operas, pop songs and bands. I’ve even been a church organist in my time! I am currently the MD for RUSO (Rock'd Up Soul'd Out), a seven piece band, providing a combination of classic rock ballads from Tina Turner and Bonnie Tyler, to the soulful sounds of the Commiments and Aretha Franklin as well as some more modern music such as Gnarles Barkley and Amy Winehouse. In recent years I have taught a number of students - principally middle aged men and women - who, having acquired more time for themselves, have decided to start learning how to play the piano. By providing an unportencious, friendly and relaxed environment my students can choose the type and style of music they wish to play and work through a bespoke course designed to help them to achieve their specific aims without feeling embarassed or patronised. Where a venue is unable to provide a piano, I use my Yamaha P90, an instrument widely regarded by musicians as one of the top performance keyboards of all time. The digitally created sounds of the acoustic or electronic pianos, church or jazz organs, are of the finest quality. It is also an instrument that can be played with great sensitivity and feel, at a volume that adds grandeur to a walk down the aisle, power and zeal to a recessional stroll, or in a gentler mood, one that creates just that right atmosphere during a meal, unobtrusively enjoyable, enabling not impeding conversation. It is easy to set up and can be moved quickly should a change of location be required. East Midlands, piano player, pianist, Robert Cromwell, weddings, corporate functions, parties. Thanks for playing at our wedding reception. Everyone commented on how nice it was to have a pianist playing as opposed to a background CD, how wonderful the music was and how it added to and helped create the atmosphere of the day. You really helped to make the day extra special. The choice and range of songs that you offered us was fantastic and you were able to offer and play everything that we wanted. It was a pleasure to listen to you play and the flexibility in your playing sets helped it all run smoothly, giving a very goodrelaxing flow to the proceeding! Thank you again."
Matt & Nikki Hutton"Thank you for playing so wonderfully at our Grand Twinning Dinner on the occasion of our Tenth Anniversary. You created just the right ambience to accompany the meal and after dinner conversations. I particularly appreciated the selection of music and the way in which it fitted so well with the event."

Stephanie & Peter"I would like to thank you for playing at the Barrow Twinning Association's 'Music in the Garden' evening. You approached the event with professionalism and care. The selection of music and the informed introductions to each piece was very much appreciated by all present. Your playing captivated our guests and you brought a real touch of class to the event."
Mike Morley"Bob - Excellent job for the Chamger of Commerce event in our function room at the Priory. Although this was rather a formal affiar, your professonal approach and appearance allowed you to fit in perfectlyand you faultless muscial performance drew a number of compliments from the gathering at the end of the event. YOu have such a wide range of material available that you were able to provide exactly the right type of music for the event. The Chamber of Commerce has already asked if you are available next year."
The Priory, Loughborough"Bob - thank you so much for making our wedding day so special. Your choice of music was superb. We loved the beethoven during the singing of the register. It was such a wonderful contrast to Pachebel's Canon, our choice for the recessional walk. We can't thank you enough."
